Ohio Amish Country Flea Markets Open in March

In the heart of Ohio's Amish Country, March means the opening of the area's two prominent Flea Markets: The Original Holmes County Flea Market in Berlin, and the Walnut Creek Amish Flea Market in Sugarcreek. The Barn Inn Bed and Breakfast highly recommends both of these shopping centers for your visit to Amish Country!

Celebrating 25 years in business, the Holmes County Flea Market is home to 50,000 square feet of shopping, sectioned into four wings. Within these wings is a variety of well-priced, high-quality merchandise, including home d├ęcor, crafts, clothing, toys, candles, homemade pork rinds and leather goods. Over 40 vendors help to fill the 300 vendor spaces inside the walls of the market. In addition to regular sales, the market has monthly themed giveaways with prizes ranging from a $250 shopping spree, to an Amish Country package including a night's stay at a local hotel, two tickets to the Amish Country Theater, and dinner for two at a local restaurant.

The Original Holmes County Flea Market will open on Thursday, March 6th, and be open every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 9am to 5pm until Saturday, December 20th of 2014. Parking is free for Holmes County residents, and outside visitors pay a nominal parking fee. The Market can be reached at 330-893-0900 or at www.holmesfleamarket.com

Also stretching a healthy 50,000 square feet is the Walnut Creek Amish Flea Market in Sugarcreek. Separated into color-coded buildings all part of the main campus, this Market is home to over 200 vendor stations, even featuring a full food court of local eateries, including a bakery, chocolate factory, Smith's Ice Cream, and bulk food store, among others.

Not only is the Walnut Creek Amish Flea Market a shopping center, but it is also host to weekly live entertainment, a full schedule for which can be found on the market's website. There are also monthly and weekly giveaways that vary in theme and value, such as tickets to the Amish Country Theater, or vendor baskets.
