Ohio Bed and Breakfast Offering Amish Country Wine Tour

The Millersburg, Ohio Barn Inn Bed and Breakfast is now offering an Amish Country Wine Cellar Tour as a part of their Escape Weekend.  Whether you are a wine connoisseur or a dabbler in wine tasting, the Wine Cellar Tour and Escape Weekend promises a delightful wine-tasting adventure.

Wine Cellar Tour & Escape Weekend

This tour, offered once a month, is provided through the services of Amish Heartland Tours, who will provide convenient, front-door pickup for our guests.  This tour offers the pleasure of relaxing in plush seats and the enjoyment of picturesque Amish countryside vistas as you are taken to a variety of small and large wineries.  Sample a variety of fine-crafted and well-aged wine samples and learn trade tips from specialists in the industry.

Along the way you will learn how the Prohibition era influenced the Mennonite and Amish community, and learn if the Amish still make wine.  The tour will include a "Behind the Scenes" wine cellar tour.  Lunch is included with a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich on Panini bread, a cup of roasted red pepper soup, a side, and choice of a glass of wine.

The tour includes cheese factory stops and a $5 coupon toward the purchase of cheese.  Other stops include a local chocolate factory and a tour of the area's newest glass museum before concluding our evening with an Italian dinner and dessert wine.
