The Barn Inn, Millersburg, Ohio, was one of 12 inns and bed and breakfasts on tour. It was an incredible task to prepare for the tour, as each property baked and wrapped 1,000 cookies for the event
I thank our many wonderful partnering businesses who featured their products and foods at some of the inn locations on tour. Featuring businesses were Country Craft Cupboard, Wendell August Forge, Warther's Carvings, Heini's Cheese, Guggisberg Cheese, Coblentz Chocolates, and the Shops at Inn at Amish Door. We thank our wonderful volunteer, Santa Clause and featured chef, Jim Barnes.
Additionally, we thank the many Hospice and Love Center volunteers and employees who braved the cold to serve as parking lot attendants. Some helped bake and decorate cookies while others served as docents. Together, this community made it happen.
Looking ahead in 2011, this year's 2-day, inn-to-inn tour will be held on Sunday, December 4 and Monday December 5, 2011. Tickets for the 4th Annual Christmas Cookie Tour of Inns will go on sale October 1, 2011.
